Next year's lambs
will start showing up in late March. At this point
there is plenty of availability of both ewes and rams. However, our
ewe lambs always sell out before lambing even starts, so if you are interested in starting
or expanding your British Soay flock with 2011 ewe lambs, we urge you to contact us sooner rather than later.
Fall line-up Pictured in these six mugshots are the lucky fellows slated to service our British ewes starting about October 15. Click on an image for a full page ram-glam shot.
We don't ordinarily keep rams once they have been used for breeding, so the six breeders
pictured on the left will probably be available in June 2011, after we've seen the lambs they
have sired. It will be a scratch and dent sale, so expect more dings on their horns and scars on their pretty
faces. Three of them were born in 2008 and three in 2009. Pricing will be based on
age and ancestry. Let us know if you are interested in
one of them.
Several of our 2010 ram lambs will be held back and fed over the winter so they can be
offered as yearlings along with 2011 ewe lambs in next year's starter flocks. We probably
won't need all of them, in which case they will be available next summer individually.
