Next year's lambs
will start showing up in late March. At this point
there is plenty of availability of both ewes and rams. However, our
ewe lambs typically sell out before lambing even starts, so if you are interested in starting
or expanding your British Soay flock with 2011 ewe lambs, we urge you to contact us sooner rather than later. If you're interested but not
ready to sign on the dotted line, call us anyway. Perhaps we can help you decide whether the
time is right.
Flocksire line-up The lucky fellows pictured in these six mugshots were put with
the ladies on October 19th. Click on an image to see a

Several of the breeding rams pictured on the left will be up for sale in June 2011, after
we've seen the lambs they have sired. Let us know if you
are interested in one of these proven rams.
Ram lambs can breed successsfully in their first season, although not reliably until
December or so, with lambs arriving in May or June. Yearling rams, bred at about 18
months, are fully mature and will be in rut and ready to go much earlier in the fall,
typically October or early November, for March-April lambing.
Our 2010 ram lambs that are still here next summer will be availble for sale as part of starter flocks paired with 2011 ewe lambs (to maximize the diversity of the starter flocks) or as single rams to enhance existing flocks. Click here for pictures and more information about these rams.
